Dr. Joe Helm - Pastor of Administration & Missions

Dr. Joe Helm has ministered at Brookside since 1983 and currently serves as the Associate Pastor for Administration and Missions. Pastor Joe attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Bible from Bob Jones University in 1980, a Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University Law School in 1983, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Northland Baptist Bible College in 2003. He also serves on the board of directors of several Christian ministries including Bob Jones University, Central Africa Baptist College, Northland Baptist Bible College, Frontline Missions International, New York Gospel Ministries, and Neighborhood Bible Time. Pastor Joe has ministered to God's people throughout the United States as well as several foreign countries, including Mexico, the Caribbean, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, and Zambia. In his "spare time", he is also a principal shareholder in the law firm of McLario, Helm & Bertling, S.C., where he practices law part-time, concentrating in estate planning, estate tax planning, and charitable giving strategies. He is married to Lana Lee (McLario) Helm and has three children, Joseph III (22), Heather (19), and Holly (15) and resides in Menomonee Falls, WI.
